MZ and Emmers Breast Cancer Sports Bra Auction To Include Top Women Soccer Athletes Will Benefit Keep A Breast Foundation
Keep A Breast is happy to announce we are the beneficiary of the MZ & Emmers Sports Bra Auction for Breast Cancer once again! The auction was formed in the spring of 2010 by the Bayer family of Powder Springs, Georgia and women’s professional soccer player McCall Zerboni. The Bayer family decided to try to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer and also highlight the women of the soccer world in a unique way by auctioning off autographed sports bras. In the first year a total of 84 sports bras were auctioned, including bras from all over the world! The success and international exposure gave way to expansion into other sports, and outside the athletic world. And now three years with 357 items sold and $23,700 later MZ & Emmers are returning to their roots with another soccer auction.
This year you can bid on sports bras (starting September 29th here) signed by soccer teams from all over the world. Get your ebay alerts ready for bra’s autographed by four members of the Japanese 2010 World Cup winning team, a bra signed by Sky Blue FC of the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League), including Christie Rampone and Kelly O’Hara of the US Women’s National Team and McCall’s team, the WNY Flash contributed individual items, including Carli Lloyd and Abby Wambach of the National Team.
The highlight of the auction is a truly one-of-a-kind item collectors’ item…an official US Olympic sports bra signed by the Gold Medal Women’s Soccer Team! Please follow MZ & Emmers on Facebook.com/mzemmers for photos of all the items and to see updates on the eBay Giving Works auctions starting on September 29th.
