Break A Sweat for Boobie Health This Breast Cancer Prevention Month
Breast Cancer Prevention Month is just around the corner! That’s right, what many may know by “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” we swap for “prevention” as our programming and mission aims to do far more than spread awareness–driving education, empowerment and action globally!
Each year, our Fit 4 Prevention (F4P) October campaign is our way of having this message ring loud and clear across the nation! Over 1,900 Studios, gyms, and fitness locations across the U.S. have participated by hosting donation-based fitness classes and events each October since 2016–and this year we’re aiming to raise $100,000 with your support!
Anyone can participate in F4P and any activity counts! Whether you’re hosting or joining a donation-based activity of any kind, you’ll be joining a community for a cause–benefiting KAB!
HERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN F4P:
Call your local gym and studio and see if they have any classes on the calendar benefiting F4P! There’s still time for them to sign up to host a class, so if they haven’t yet, let them know!
Host a fundraising class or event yourself for friends, family and fitness enthusiasts! There are so many ways to get fit and have fun while lowering your risk for breast cancer prevention! When you’ve registered, we have all you need to get the word out about your class with our marketing tool kit!
Follow @keepabreast to learn about the various Fit 4 Prevention classes and events happening across the nation! There are always plenty of opportunities to join a fun virtual cardio class or yoga sesh, which we’ll be reposting info for in our IG Stories!
Remember, it’s much more fun when you’re doing a fitness activity you love to host or join. It can be yoga, skating, a run club event, dance class, volleyball tournament, barre class, HIIT circuit event…you name it! It all accomplishes the aim: to educate and help lower your risk of developing breast cancer.
