In 2000, Keep A Breast started with the aim to support a young friend facing breast cancer. What began as a grassroots effort among friends has since grown into a bold, creative, global movement rooted in art, education, prevention, and action.

Now, as we celebrate 25 years of impact, we’re launching something BIG—and deeply meaningful.

We're inviting you to be a part of our story—and our future—by joining our $25 for 25 celebration. For less than $1 a day, your monthly gift of $25 supports life-saving breast health education and resources for people around the world.

What Your Monthly Gift Makes Possible:

  • $25/month: Provides breast self-exam resources for 25 people globally through our education and prevention tools.

  • $50/month: Funds a Treasured Chest Program kit for a breast cancer patient or survivor, helping them process their experience through healing art therapy.

  • $100/month: Supports 2+ Give Back Grants for women of color breast cancer patients and survivors who face continued disparities in the healthcare system and higher breast cancer mortality rates.

For 25 years, Keep A Breast has sparked real conversations, and made breast health education accessible, inclusive, and empowering—especially for younger generations.

“We've reached millions of people worldwide, but there is still more work to do,” Keep A Breast Founder, Shaney jo Darden, said. “Many communities still lack access to basic breast health education and early detection tools. Survivors are still fighting to be seen and supported. And young people are still growing up without knowing how to advocate for their own health.”
