Empowering BIPOC Breast Cancer Survivors: Our Give Back Grant Program Doubles 2022 Impact!

Our Give Back Grant (GBG) program serves a purpose - to help breast cancer survivors, specifically those from the BIPOC community. The GBG aims to provide a small gift to help these survivors deal with the struggles they face.

While the Give Back Grant may not change what they have been through, it is a way to show support and understanding. By offering assistance, we hope to let BIPOC breast cancer survivors know they are not alone in their journey.

We are thrilled to announce that this year has been our biggest yet for the program, as we met so many of our goals and were able to provide much-needed support to those who face disparities in the healthcare system and beyond. We are proud to have been able to provide support to 464 grantees this past year, nearly doubling our impact from 2021. Our program has even been featured in Essence Magazine! Looking ahead, we plan to continue growing the program by seeking opportunities to connect and support BIPOC breast cancer organizations in the community.

Understanding that BIPOC breast cancer survivors face unique challenges, we are committed to doing our part to support the BIPOC community. While we cannot take away their pain and struggles, we want to demonstrate that we care and understand. We are proud to have provided support that made their lives a little easier, even if only for a moment. We are heartened that some survivors were able to pay bills, but we are truly filled with joy knowing that other survivors were able to use the grant money for self-care, "me" time, and alternative care. Our hope is that through our efforts, we have left a lasting positive impact on the lives of those we have helped.

Going forward, we plan to continue growing the program and with the addition of myself, as the Give Back Grant Program Manager, to expand our outreach even further. We are grateful to have been able to make a difference in the lives of so many survivors to-date and feel hopeful the program will continue to see exponential growth and impact!
