FUNDRAISING IS ACTIVISM

KAB ACTIVISTS is a fundraising initiative that allows anyone to play a role within KAB. Fundraising activists are a huge part of our ethos. It brings grassroots and community involvement together to support and educate one another. KAB would not be what it is today without your do-it-yourself events and fundraisers.

Our goal is to make the experience as simple and straightforward as possible. To set you up for success.

There are a number of ways you can host an event or fundraise for KAB and your support directly impacts our mission—which is to reduce breast cancer risk and its impact globally through art, education, prevention, and action.

HOW TO FUNDRAISE

YOUR FUNDRAISING EFFORT CAN BE ANYTHING
FROM MUSIC FESTIVALS TO POOL PARTIES,
CHILI COOK-OFFS OR TRIVIA NIGHTS.

YOU CAN EVEN ASK YOUR FAVE LOCAL RESTAURANT, COFFEE SHOP OR BOUTIQUE
TO JOIN IN BY MAKING A DONATION OR CREATING A FUNDRAISER OF THEIR OWN.

You can fundraise for KAB in general, or for a specific KAB program that speaks to you like Non Toxic Revolution, Check Yourself, or Treasured Chest.

The benefit to creating your own unique fundraising page is the goal bar that allows you to display how much you’ve raised. You can add your own photo and appeal story and have a link to your page to share with friends and family.

*KAB TIP: Put the link to your fundraising page in your personal or work email signature with a quick statement about why you are fundraising for KAB.

It’s easy to create a fundraiser on Facebook. We’ll walk you through it. The experience is a little different on a phone than on a desktop.
*KAB TIP *A great way to jumpstart your efforts is by being the first donor. This shows your friends and family that you truly care about the cause and encourages them to join in.*

INSTAGRAM

Instagram is an awesome way to include friends and family in your fundraising efforts and is super easy to set up. You can even invite collaborators in IG to fundraise with you.
***KAB TIP:*** Create a reel to tell your supporters about your fundraiser. Reels get the most engagement on Instagram and you can make it fun or silly or share your heart. If you do a live video, invite KAB and we’ll join you! We’d love to say hi to your followers. Make sure to tag us! *@keepabreast*

FIT 4 PREVENTION

We go hard for Fit 4 Prevention in the month of October, but that doesn’t mean you can’t host a class or wellness event and raise funds for KAB year-round. To learn more about hosting your own Fit 4 Prevention event click here.
***KAB TIP:*** *Communication with supporters is so key. Best practices suggest one to two social posts a week and one email a week leading up to the event to keep your efforts top of mind.*

Brewbies Festival was founded in 2010 to showcase the positive impact that the craft brewing community has while raising funds for KAB. Since its conception Brewbies has raised over $560,000 for KAB programs.

*KAB Activist kits are shipped on business days, generally within 48 hours of the order placement. Kits are shipped with UPS Ground and typically arrive within 3-7 business days, depending on the destination. Please account for possible longer processing and shipping times due to COVID-19 safety measures and delays.

We do our best to accommodate rush or next-day orders for people who need their kit quicker. Depending on the cost - the shipping donation may need to be increased in these cases.
