Cannabis and Boobies

For those affected by breast cancer, it might be beneficial to partake in cannabis. Though research is limited, it’s been proven that some users have successfully used marijuana for a number of medicinal benefits. Marijuana contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) which can help treat some symptoms of breast cancer as well as the unwanted side effects of chemotherapy. Here are just some of the benefits on record that cannabis has been shown to have.

It’s Can Act as a Pain Reliever

THC and CBD block inflammation-causing chemicals, such as prostaglandins, that are associated with pain. Cannabinoids are not only safer than opioids, they may even decrease side of effects from other medications and assist in reducing opioid use.

It Can Ease Nausea

Cannabinoid concentrates work by blocking the binding of serotonin and dopamine, both of which are associated with chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), at receptor sites and thusn can minimize nausea.

It's a Sleep Aid

Since certain strains of marijuana slow down heart rate and reduce anxiety, it functions as a great sleep aid. This is especially for those who suffer from secondary insomnia caused by ailments such as anxiety, chronic pain, and cancer.

It Can Stabilize Mood

Anxiety and depression are also possible unfortunate after effects of chemotherapy. CBD treatments have shown a reduction of extreme moods especially in patients that suffer from bipolar disorder. THC desensitizes the brain cell receptors and CBD was just as effective as the antipsychotic drug, amisulpride. Additionally, CBD users show little to no side effects.

Music and Boobies

Speaking of mood stabilization, music has been proven to be a great stress reliever, for both patients and anyone who needs to relax.

One study with breast cancer patients suggests that sounds waves actually physically evoke emotions through your body’s internal chemical and electrical signals.

Have you heard of music therapy? Music therapy is the practice of using music to address the physical and emotional needs of cancer patients in a therapeutic environment. Music therapy works to alleviate the multitude of stresses caused by cancer and cancer treatment through different forms of music and has been very successful.
