No matter what your age, race, breast characteristics or genetic history, you can work to prevent breast cancer. Here are 5 things you can do right away and incorporate into your daily life.

1. CHECK YOURSELF ONCE A MONTH!

Getting to know your own body and knowing what is normal for you is the whole point of doing a self-check once a month!

2. AVOID PROCESSED FOODS & EAT ORGANIC!

Avoid processed food loaded with chemical preservatives. Biggest culprits are fast food and items with a really long shelf life. To find organic fruits and veggies, look for stickered item #’s starting with “9.” That means certified organic!

3. JUST CHILL AND DON'T STRESS!

Stressed Out? Did you know that stress suppresses the immune system and has been linked to many diseases? Keep your stress level low to help lower your risk of cancer.

4. GET MOVING AND WERK IT!

30 minutes of daily exercise can help keep cancer away by lowering your risk 30-50%. Keep your whole body healthy by getting your heart pumping, maintaining a healthy weight and reducing your stress levels.

5. CHECK LABELS AND AVOID CHEMICALS!

Chemicals are often found in your food, beauty, grooming and household products. We recommend using fewer products with simpler ingredients. Your skin is your largest, organic, be good to it! What you put on your skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream. Pay attention to the ingredients in your personal care products.
