Shepard Fairey
Shepard has been a long time supporter of Keep A Breast. It was an incredible experience casting his wife Amanda while she was 8 months pregnant, and as you can see Shepard did a fantastic job creating a meaningful piece with his wife and child as inspiration! We feel so blessed to know them and work with them to raise money for this cause.
"Margaret Kilgallen, one of my favorite artists, died of breast cancer.
Both of my Mom's sisters died of breast cancer, and my mom had preventative surgery just in case. I think breasts are lovely and their health, as well as their owner's health, is very important to me. I appreciate both the form and function of breasts, especially since my wife and I had our daughter Vivienne who's health and happiness depends on quality time with boobs. Oh yeah, my happiness depends on quality time with boobs, too. I think it's only fair for me to give back after all that breasts have given me."

Blaine Fontana
Blain Fontana is truly a gifted artist, and we were privileged to have him create a cast for our Macbeth benefit this past October. Born in Seattle, WA and raised on Bainbridge Is. Blaine began his interest in art at a young age. Always encouraged to use his imagination, he continued to study and practice the arts whenever available. Currently Blaine works in Long Beach, CA as a full time artist. Fontana's vision is influenced by religious myths, worldly folklore, and current social dynamics. He shows frequently on the west Coast and is rapidly receiving local and national interest as a rising artist to look out for amongst serious art collectors and gallery owners. When he is not spending his time in art, he volunteers his time as co-art director and webmaster on the RTEA board, a non profit organization that raises money for art supplies for inner-city elementary schools.
We think you'll find a lot to admire in Blain's work. Perhaps you should think of collecting this up and coming talent while you still can! Go to www.totembookmedia.com and see more. Or, if you are in the neighborhood, he is having a show Dec. 10th at the Lab 101 Gallery in Los Angeles. |
